When Evan Bayh was the Governor of Indiana, he seemed to be closer to the political center. He almost seemed to be a conservative Democrat. Since he moved to Washington to take a seat as Indiana’s junior Senator, he seems to be just another liberal Democrat. Am I correct in my perception of this shift? For example, it seemed to me that as a Governor he had a reasonably pro-gun record. However in 2004, the National Rifle Association gave him a D- and the Gun Owners of America gave him an F. I can’t recall (or imagine) an Indiana Governor having an NRA rating other than an A. Is this just because no anti-gun laws made it out of the legislature when Bayh was governor?

A Question For My Hoosier Readers
Wednesday, November 19th, 2008Real Progress
Tuesday, November 18th, 2008Earlier I wrote a sarcastic post that my blog was going somewhere because I got my first storm of comment spam. Today I have much happier milestone to report. I’ve been blogrolled by two people, Jeff of Hoosier Illuminati and Og of Neanderpundit. Thank you both.
He’s Back
Thursday, November 13th, 2008Remember Ross Perot and his charts from the 1992 Presidential Election? Well it seems he’s back. He isn’t running for President, but he’s put charts up on the Internet. The charts actually do a good job of the problems we are going to face if we don’t fix the spending problem and the entitlement crisis.

What Kind Of Idiot Wants Biden To Be President?
Friday, November 7th, 2008Thanks to Instapundit, we know. There are already Facebook sites created by idiots who want Obama impeached. Has anyone told them that if any of them realizes what happens if they accomplish their goal? If Obama were impeached, the next President of the United States would be Joseph Biden. Who in their right minds would want that?
My Pledge
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008I believe in the Constitution of the United States of America and this great and wonderful country. While I have concerns about the viability and consequences of President-elect Obama’s policies, I will be a member of the loyal opposition. When I disagee, I will be critical, but my criticism will targeted at why the proposal will not work, and what should be done about it.
The President-elect and I disagree very strongly about what is the right course for our country. I plan on fully exercising my rights under the First Amendment to be critical of the President-elect’s policies and proposals when they are wrong. Furthermore whenever the President-elect gets something right, I will point it out, and give him the credit for doing it.
